Pianist renowned for innate virtuosity and skills and sophisticated stylistic knowledge, ALFONSO SOLDANO is born in 1986, and in young age reaches the Distinguished Degree with Honor Mention in Piano Performance at Conservatory “ N. Piccinni “ in Bari. His mentors during all over his artistic growth were Aldo CICCOLINI, Pierluigi CAMICIA. He obtained also the High Performance Diploma in National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, under Benedetto LUPO.  Mr. Soldano has classified first absolute winner in several piano competitions in Italy from 2003 to 2008 and is invited as Artist and Juror and Guest Professor in Italy and Eastern Europe.

 Mr. Soldano was involved in production of Integral of Rachmaninov’s works for piano and orchestra,  since when he was 17 with Bacau Philarmonic Orchestra. He worked with conductors like O.Balan, D.Frandes, M.Cormio, V.Zhadko, and performed with a lot of orchestras, italian and foreign: Symphony Orchestra of Province of Bari, Apulia Philarmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Balkan Festival Orchestra, etc. Artist recognized for his deep and special sound and breathtaking virtuosity, one of  best italian talents of his generation, Mr.  Soldano can count on large repertoire for solo and concertos with orchestra. Mr.  Soldano has appeared in a lot of festivals and concerts, such Musikum Salzburg, Hindemith Foundation Switzerland, G.Enescu International Festival Bucarest, Bacau, Kiev (Concert Hall of Tchaikovsky National Academy, Philarmonie), Great Concert Hall “G.Verdi” in Budapest (Italian Institute of Culture), lots of italian universities and recital in lot of major cities (Rome Auditorium Parco della Musica,Milan,Verona, Bologna, Theathers in Foggia, Lecce etc).  As writer he published for Florestano Edizioni,first world’s biography of Ukrainian composer Sergej Bortkiewicz. Bond with Ukraine is confirmed also in the estabilished chamber vocal music duo with soprano Inna Kalugina.

Mr Soldano is also active as a concert transcriber, (Boosey&Hawkes,MusePress, Japan, Florestano Edizioni). He is going to complete the publishing of a large piano set of concert transcriptions for two pianos, with Florestano Edizioni and many other projects. Since 2021 Mr. Soldano is new author & transcriber for Boosey&Hawkes, with his first publication, the 2 hands version (and newly composed Cadenza) of Bortkiewicz’s Piano Concerto n.2 op.28. He had recently successful experience as master lecturer&performer in China, at Ning Bo San Jiang Arts Center, focusing Italian piano music and tradition of Italian singing applied to the piano. The great pianists that have listened him, have always highlighted the particular interpretative maturity of his performances, result of continuous insights into the history of piano technique and interpretation. Mr Soldano is Academic Professor of Piano Performance at Conservatory U.Giordano in Foggia,  and has been already Professor in S.Cecilia Conservatory in Rome,  as well in Conservatories of Teramo,  Taranto,  Lecce.  He is Artistic Director of Foundation European Arts Academy “Aldo Ciccolini”  in Trani.  Mr.  Soldano is Divine Artist (only Italian)  and records for USA major label Divine Arts Recordings Group.  His Cds are recognized 5 stars from major USA’s magazines (American Record Guide,  Fanfares, First Italian Pianist to receive five stars) and Other 15 countries Magazines all over the world. His last Cds, Solo piano works by Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco,  was selected in Florida on best Classical CDs of 2017. Last CD, Rachmaninov Solo Piano Works, received international acclaim, “Brilliant in every way” (MusicWeb International - John France), “He doen’t sound like anyone else” (American Record Guide - Donald Vroon), ALBUM OF THE MONTH NOVEMBER 2020 for International Piano Magazine “Soldano’s daring and lack of compromise, his indifference to conventional procedure are mesmeric..Inimitable” (International Piano Magazine - Bryce Morrison), Best Critic’s Choice American Record Guide 2020. Last Performance of Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto n. 2 op.44 received high critic acclaim and broadcasted on television. Recent enthusiasm for the new Album, announced by BBC Music Magazine, that will be released in November 2021 - “Metamorphoses” - , in which Mr.Soldano is involved fully as performer,transcriber (works by Rachmaninov & Debussy), sound engineer.
